Each restoration follows the same gentle rhythm: observe the typewriter, understand its faults, repair its mechanisms, and finish a letter. There are no timers, lives or penalties for choosing a wrong diagnosis.
01 / Look closely
Open the first commission from the workshop. In Inspect, select each observation to add it to your notebook. Read all the clues before deciding what is wrong.
02 / Find the fault
Move to Diagnose and select the fault that matches the observations for each of the three mechanisms. You can try another diagnosis without losing progress.
03 / Make it work again
In Repair, choose a tool and apply the appropriate steps to the mechanism. The game gives feedback as you work. Complete all three mechanisms to reach the letter.
04 / Give the letter its ending
Type the supplied, original letter at your own pace. Use the next-word assistance or reveal the complete letter if you prefer reading. Completed letters are available in the archive. These are story texts, rather than an online message composer.
